In this paper we aim to illustrate our electrocardiographic teleconsulting system based on an asynchronous architecture with a central server which uses a simply TCP/IP connection. In the last years our Internal Medicine Department has developed a cardiological, echocardiographic and electrocardiographic consulting activity in the covered areas. The actual system, a custom version of ESAOTE Archiwin system, is currently working on our territory and, from its establishment, has allowed to store and report more than 10.000 electrocardiograms of about 6.000 people of all ages accessing to our hospital’ s departments and to some territorial services, such as cardiologic firstlevel ambulatories and psychiatric centers, where we are using a telemedicine system to monitor drug-induced long-QTc syndromes.
